Sr Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Qt/QML) for the Maternal & Fetal Care systems software team, building and sustaining high-quality product software in a regulated medical device environment.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain/improve MFC product features.
• Develop C++, Qt, and QML software on embedded Linux platforms.
• Apply SDLC practices including Agile, Lean, CI/CD, security, documentation, refactoring, and testing.
• Translate product requirements and vision into user stories, tasks, design inputs, and implementation plans.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, interface definition, impact analysis, and technical decisions.
• Investigate defects, perform root cause debugging, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

What you'll need

• At least 7 years of professional software development experience in production software.
• Hands-on experience with C++, Qt, and QML on embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, modular design, and object-oriented design.
• Experience in Agile teams with SDLC, CI/CD, version control, code reviews, and defect management.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in complex codebases.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate cross-functionally.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related).
