Overview
Senior Software Engineer responsible for building and supporting scalable full-stack applications for Lowe’s Pricing AI platform. The role covers frontend, backend, APIs, cloud-native platforms, data integrations, and the full software development lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and software solutions.
- Build frontend applications, backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and data-driven services.
- Own feature and project delivery while managing technical risks and dependencies.
- Apply secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and performance practices.
- Support monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and production reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture and system design reviews.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong full-stack enterprise application development experience.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, ReactJS, SQL and NoSQL databases, and Python.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and microservices architectures.
- Experience delivering complex solutions across the SDLC and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with observability, production support, incident management, monitoring, and operational excellence.
Nice to have
- Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and engineering automation.
- Experience in retail, eCommerce, merchandising, pricing, supply chain, or customer-facing applications.
- Experience with BigQuery, Apache Spark, Cloud Composer, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience integrating machine learning models or AI-powered services into production applications.
