Sr. Specialist - F&A - R2R 4C

Overview

Senior specialist role in Finance & Accounting, Record to Report (R2R), owning end-to-end R2R processes and leading a team of accountants or finance analysts.

What you'll do

• Manage the complete R2R process, including journal entries, general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Align R2R processes with global standards, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and internal controls.
• Lead and manage a team of accountants or finance analysts (onshore/offshore), overseeing task allocation, productivity, and team development through coaching and performance reviews.
• Ensure team members are trained on accounting policies, systems, and processes.
• Ensure accurate preparation of financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee statutory reporting, regulatory submissions, and compliance with SOX or other audit requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal audit teams during financial and operational reviews.
• Manage GL integrity, including review and approval of journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely financial consolidation.
• Maintain and monitor the chart of accounts for accuracy and consistency across entities.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances.
• Oversee the lifecycle management of fixed assets: acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
• Supervise preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring documentation and resolution of reconciling items.
• Monitor internal control effectiveness and ensure audit readiness.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process standardization, automation (e.g., BlackLine, RPA), and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to transformation programs.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of R2R processes, SOPs, and workflows.
• Act as point of contact for finance leaders, controllers, and business units for R2R service delivery.
• Collaborate with other finance towers (P2P, O2C), tax, treasury, and IT to ensure end-to-end financial process alignment.
• Conduct regular governance meetings and service reviews with key stakeholders.
• Track and report KPIs such as close cycle time, reconciliation accuracy, and reporting timeliness, and analyze trends, exceptions, and SLA performance.
• Present insights and dashboards to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX controls, and global accounting standards.
• Support risk assessments and implement corrective actions for identified gaps.
• Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all financial activities.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or Finance, or Master's in Finance.
• Required skills: Banking Capital Markets, Financial Analysis Reporting, Intercompany Accounting, Oracle ERP Applications, Performance Testing, Process Standardization, Reconciliations, Record To Report (R2R), Regulatory Compliance Management, SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
• English language proficiency at Intermediate (B1) level, required.

• Certifications listed for the role: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Compliance Officer (CCO), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
