Senior Finance Specialist - General Accounting

Senior Finance Specialist in General Accounting at JLL, responsible for financial close, reconciliations and reporting in the Record-to-Report domain.

What you'll do

• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
• Prepare, review and approve accruals, amortization and other standard accounting entries
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis
• Perform monthly expense variance analysis
• Handle consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations, including foreign currency accounting
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with internal policies
• Manage fixed assets accounting
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Interface with Country Finance and Controllership teams
• Enforce compliance with the Firm's financial and operating policies and procedures and SOX requirements
• Liaise with internal and external auditors for quarter-end and year-end audits
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required, including process improvement initiatives, system implementation and other duties assigned
• Build and maintain positive relationships with team members, internal customers and vendors

What you'll need

• Minimum 6-8 years of overall professional experience, with at least 4 years in the Record-to-Report (R2R) domain including financial close, reconciliations and reporting
• Degree in Accounting or relevant professional accountancy qualification
• Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Team player, and able to work independently
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management

Nice to have

• Preferably more than 5 years of working experience in GL/AP and AR in a reputed MNC organization
• Experience with US GAAP
• PeopleSoft or large-scale ERP financial systems experience
