Sr./Staff Backend Engineer - Java (India)

Overview

Build and maintain scalable, low-latency backend infrastructure for Oscilar’s SaaS platform using Java and AWS. Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams to deliver reliable services for enterprise clients.

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable backend services with Java and AWS.
• Collaborate with product management, frontend, and QA teams on technical requirements and integrations.
• Optimize existing services for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Identify and resolve system bottlenecks and stability issues.
• Implement code quality, testing, deployment, and CI/CD practices.
• Monitor backend service health and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong Java and AWS experience.
• Experience building and operating low-latency, high-scale distributed services.
• Knowledge of microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and ClickHouse.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and security best practices.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle and agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
