Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer, Data Collection

Overview

Senior Staff Software Development Engineer responsible for solving complex technical problems, guiding technical teams, and delivering cloud-based services and customer-centric solutions for the PitchBook platform.

What you'll do

• Develop and trial technologies to validate assumptions and technical directions.
• Define and evaluate platform and product non-functional requirements.
• Document technical designs and communicate them with architects and teams.
• Implement testable, efficient, scalable, reliable code.
• Design and deliver end-to-end initiatives with little to no guidance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineering roles.
• Improve products through incident root-cause analysis and experience reviews.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 8 years with a master's degree, or 4 years with a PhD.
• At least 8 years in software development or engineering roles.
• At least 6 years with Java or a similar object-oriented language.
• At least 4 years developing microservices.
• Experience with microservices, cloud, Domain-Driven Design, and architecture patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, AWS or GCP, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes.
• Strong technical communication, problem-solving, Agile, and mentoring skills.

Details

• Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
• Hybrid schedule with four days working from the office each week.
• Office hours from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, followed by remote support from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.
• Limited corporate travel may be required.
