Sr. Supplier Development Engineer (Injection Molding)

Overview

Sr. Supplier Development Engineer focused on injection molding supplier development for Starlink user terminal manufacturing.

What you'll do

• Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for injection molded parts.
• Develop new plastic injection tooling projects to meet performance and cosmetic requirements.
• Review DFM from suppliers, including gating strategy plus Moldflow/Mold Warp analysis.
• Approve development/prototype tool designs and tooling maintenance procedures.
• Lead tooling modifications and approve first article inspection (FAI) and PPAP reports.
• Drive supplier quality issue resolution using root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify trends and gaps for improvement plans.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years experience in injection molding process development and/or hands-on injection mold design/construction or Mold Master.
• Knowledge of metrology tools and techniques for measuring injection molded parts.
• Ability to create and define supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production phases.

• Location: Bangalore, India.
• Work mode: Onsite (remote work not considered).
• Travel: Up to 50% of the work week to suppliers in Southeast Asia.
