Overview
Supplier Development Engineer for Starlink, focused on final assembly, test, and packout at global suppliers to ensure scalable, high-quality user terminal manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Plan and lead experiments to generate analyses that inform design, development, and supply chain decisions.
- Validate fabrication approaches for part designs, including automation potential and cost-effective mass production.
- Run validation and throughput/yield optimization exercises for high-volume feasibility.
- Analyze validation results and provide technical recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce variability.
- Review supplier development progress and escalate critical process issues during ramp-up.
- Coordinate quality engineering efforts, including Product Quality Plan (PQP) development and milestone quality gates.
- Assess supplier readiness for build events and production ramp, including infrastructure and readiness risks.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, or design engineering.
- Experience in one or more of PCBA manufacturing and/or SMT processes is required only as “preferred,” not basic.
- Position requires onsite work in Bangalore, India (remote work not considered).
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the work week to suppliers in Southeast Asia (stated as a requirement).
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed (stated as a requirement).
