Supplier Development Engineer

Overview

The Supplier Development Engineer supports Aggreko's supply chain quality and development by onboarding suppliers, managing supplier performance, overseeing product quality, and minimizing supply chain risks through collaborative efforts.

What you'll do

• Facilitate the selection of suitable suppliers, contribute to audits, and manage risks during the supplier onboarding process.
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality, delivery, and overall performance for assigned commodity areas.
• Oversee the quality of supplied products and services to ensure they meet Aggreko's expectations and standards.
• Collect and analyse supplier quality data to identify risks and coordinate improvement actions to reduce them.
• Support the successful onboarding of new products (NPI/NPD) and manage change control activities, including PPAP and product approvals.
• Work with suppliers to correct, contain, and improve instances of product failure and non-conformance.

What you'll need

• Higher education in Engineering or Quality Management.
• ISO 9001:2015 Auditor certification.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in supplier quality assurance, including performing supplier audits and working within a high-value capital equipment manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated skills in supplier management, onboarding processes, and advanced quality planning.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Ability to collect and analyze quality-related data to assess operations, coordinate process improvements, and manage problems effectively using recognized techniques.
• Excellent working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, manufacturing processes, value engineering, and lean systems management techniques.
• Confident communication, strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, ability to work independently, problem-solving skills, and ability to contribute as a team player.

Nice to have

• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
