Sr. SW Engineer - Java Backend , 4Yts to 5.5 Yrs

Overview

Sr. SW Engineer (Java Backend) to design, build, and improve web and database software and integrations, with responsibilities spanning architecture, code review, defect/incident management, and production support.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and enhance web and database software applications using open source technologies.
• Configure and implement packaged applications and build integrations with other packaged or custom applications.
• Review business requirements and produce system architecture, technical designs, pseudo code, and data flow documentation.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to deliver secure, high-performing, scalable solutions within timelines.
• Perform code reviews and develop best practices.
• Handle defect triage, root cause analysis, issue resolution coordination, and validation.
• Support incident management, change/release support, and continuous improvement of reliability and performance.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience plus a Bachelors degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Development experience using programming and scripting languages.
• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs and supporting data exchange using encryption technologies.
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and frameworks.
• Familiarity with database architecture and ability to develop data models.
• Experience developing test strategy.
• Familiarity with configuring CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GIT, Jenkins, and Maven.
