Engineer

Overview

Engineer (technical specialist) delivering engineering for a product by designing robust, scalable software components and ensuring quality through code reviews and testing.

What you'll do

• Provide input to evaluate new technologies and contribute to service design and lifecycle management.
• Conduct research and proof-of-concept initiatives for new technologies.
• Write, organize, and maintain code based on designs, delivering scalable and secure deliverables with guidance.
• Participate in construction, automation, debugging, and implementation activities to meet architectural and operational requirements.
• Support disaster recovery planning/activities and perform functional integration and regression testing, including automated test scripts.
• Resolve recurring technical issues, monitor system capacity, and adhere to change and incident management standards.
• Search and understand metadata about data sources and metrics.

What you'll need

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1+ years of software development experience.
• Demonstrated familiarity with current and emerging technologies within scope and ability to apply them.
• Proficiency in at least one computer language.
• Understanding of distributed programming concepts and their application.
• Working knowledge of transaction codes/master data in the domain and ability to build custom solutions.
• Ability to stay current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
