Overview

Software Development Engineer III on ShipBob’s Transportation/CISC team, building and maintaining production shipping-platform services and carrier integrations.

What you'll do

• Develop production-level software in coordination with your team.
• Design and build scalable, reliable services for shipping platform functions (carrier integrations, rating, label generation, tracking, compliance, workflows).
• Become a go-to expert in a specific codebase area while understanding overall system architecture.
• Provide technical advice and weigh in on decisions impacting other teams or the company.
• Research and propose new technologies.
• Own technical testing and performance plans for your projects.
• Drive solutions for technical problems, influence decisions, and proactively tackle technical debt.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent programming skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in .NET (C#, ASP.NET MVC), SQL, and database design.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, JSON, and REST APIs.
