Engineer - Target India - Backend

Overview

Engineer responsible for delivering backend engineering powering the product, focusing on robust, scalable software components, quality, and operational reliability.

What you'll do

• Provide input for evaluation of new technologies and contribute to design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of services.
• Contribute to research and proof-of-concept initiatives for new technologies.
• Assist with code review and design review and write, organize, and maintain code based on designs.
• Deliver high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables with guidance.
• Participate in construction, automation, debugging, and implementation activities to meet architectural/operational requirements and best practices.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and activities.
• Perform functional integration and regression testing and automate test scripts.

What you'll need

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Familiarity with current and emerging technologies within scope.
• Proficiency in at least one computer language.
• Understanding of distributed programming concepts and how to apply them.
• Knowledge of different data structures in the chosen programming language and how to apply them.
• Ability to stay current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
