Overview
Sr Workday Applications Engineer responsible for leading complex Workday integration and application initiatives across the enterprise ecosystem in India.
What you'll do
- Serve as the technical lead for complex Workday integration and application work.
- Build complex integrations, services, and applications using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and REST/SOAP/GraphQL APIs.
- Extend Workday applications (custom objects, validations, orchestration-backed workflows).
- Design and own MCP servers and connectors that expose Workday capabilities to AI agents and internal tooling.
- Set standards for observability (dashboards, metrics, alerts, runbooks) and resolve root-cause production incidents.
- Coordinate project deliverables, write designs, and review artifacts while influencing team architecture.
What you'll need
- 5-8+ years of software or application engineering experience focused on platform or enterprise systems.
- 4+ years of hands-on Workday development across Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Extend, Orchestration, and RaaS/WQL.
- 3+ years writing production code in JavaScript, Java, Python, or Go.
- Highly skilled building with REST/SOAP and GraphQL and data transformation patterns (XML, XSLT, JSON).
- Demonstrated ownership of integration architecture, including event-driven patterns and fault-tolerant design.
- Deep understanding of the Workday data model and security fundamentals (domains, segments, business processes).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/CS/IT or related field (B.E./B.Tech/MCA) or equivalent practical experience.
Details
- Office work where employees work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100% of their time each month.
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office and use judgment for commuting implications.
