Staff Accountant

Overview

Staff Accountant responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across key balance sheet and income statement accounts. The role is based in India and requires regular alignment with U.S. Eastern business hours, generally on a night shift.

What you'll do

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Perform flux analysis across key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support the accounting close process.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Support financial statement audits and tax filings.
• Optimize accounting platforms, including NetSuite, Floqast, and Navan.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects.

What you'll need

• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting.
• Required experience with NetSuite.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Floqast and Navan Expense and Travel.
• CPA qualification with Big 4 experience.

• Location: India.
• Primarily a night-shift role aligned with U.S. Eastern business hours.
• Typical hours are 6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST during U.S. daylight saving time and 7:30 PM–4:30 AM IST during standard time.
• Flexibility is expected during quarter-end and year-end close periods.
