Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview

Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for processing vendor invoices and expense reports accurately, efficiently, and on time in line with company policies.

What you'll do

• Process vendor invoices by validating documentation and approvals.
• Match invoices to purchase orders (if applicable) and code for payment in the accounting system.
• Manage accounts payable inbox, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with vendors on outstanding payments.
• Validate employee expense report accuracy, flag discrepancies, and perform required data entry.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs and inter-company transactions.
• Coordinate with the general ledger team on discrepancies in vendor invoice/payment recordings.

What you'll need

• 4-6 years of relevant accounts payable experience is preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounts payable role is required.
• College degree (or equivalent) in accounting or a related field is required.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and general ledgers is required.
• MS Office Suite knowledge is required, specifically Excel.
• Advanced attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills are required.
