Staff AI Engineer, SMAI

Overview

Staff AI Engineer responsible for developing, modernizing, maintaining, and supporting Micron and third-party software applications. The role covers full-stack development, software lifecycle activities, and AI-assisted development.

What you'll do

• Configure, develop, maintain, and support software applications.
• Analyze requirements and specifications.
• Research, design, document, and maintain software solutions.
• Build quality software and reduce defects, downtime, and performance degradation.
• Combine development technologies to deliver effective solutions.
• Use AI tools to support development, debugging, testing, and productivity.

What you'll need

• Hands-on full-stack software development experience.
• Strong core programming and object-oriented design fundamentals.
• Experience with C#, C++, .NET, .NET Core, WPF, ADO.NET, WebAPI, and RESTful services.
• Experience with Perl, Python, or PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with MS SQL Server or MySQL.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Database performance tuning and query optimization experience.
• Prior architecture and technical ownership experience.
• Familiarity with microservices, containers, OpenShift, and modern web UI frameworks.
