Overview

Lead complex automation migrations from Automation Anywhere to open-source Python on the Convergence platform. Set engineering quality standards, support production automations, and mentor junior engineers in an Agile delivery squad.

What you'll do

• Migrate complex Automation Anywhere use cases to Python on Convergence.
• Build new automations and reusable shared libraries.
• Review code and enforce coding, testing, and audit standards.
• Design automated tests to verify migrated automation behavior.
• Resolve production escalations and improve monitoring, logging, and resilience.
• Mentor engineers and pair on complex or audit-sensitive work.
• Document automations, reusable patterns, and technical decisions.

What you'll need

• Strong production-grade Python software engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Experience migrating, refactoring, or rebuilding complex codebases.
• Experience with testing, production support, monitoring, and incident response.
• Familiarity with SQL and solid experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Bachelor's or master's qualification in a listed field, including Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Business Analytics.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating RPA automations to code.
• Experience using AI coding assistants.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers.
• Cloud platform experience with Azure or GCP.
