Lead Data Engineer - Data Engineering 4C

Overview

Lead complex automation migrations from Automation Anywhere to open-source Python on the Convergence platform. Set engineering quality standards, review code, mentor junior engineers, and support production automations.

What you'll do

• Migrate complex automation use cases from Automation Anywhere to Python.
• Build new automations and shared libraries.
• Review, test, and harden AI-generated code.
• Design automated tests proving equivalence with legacy automations.
• Maintain test evidence for ITGC audits.
• Resolve production escalations and improve monitoring and resilience.
• Mentor engineers and document automation patterns and decisions.

What you'll need

• Production-grade Python engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Experience migrating, refactoring, or rebuilding complex codebases.
• Strong software testing and code review skills.
• Production operations experience, including monitoring and incident response.
• Experience with SQL, Git, and CI/CD.
• Fluent written and verbal English.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating RPA automations to code.
• Experience using AI coding assistants.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers.
• Cloud experience with Azure or GCP.
