Overview

Staff Compiler Performance Engineer to set the technical direction for Falcon, Azul's optimizing JIT compiler built on LLVM that compiles hot Java bytecode into optimized machine code in Azul Platform Prime.

What you'll do

  • Decide where the next significant Falcon performance gains come from.
  • Lead the design of the optimizations that deliver those performance gains.
  • Make sure the compiler architecture supports the product roadmap.
  • Serve as the senior technical voice on a distributed team of compiler experts.
  • Partner with runtime, GC and product teams.
