Overview

Serve as a Staff Engineer, Software providing technical leadership and architectural guidance while developing innovative software solutions across cloud platforms and scientific instrumentation. Support the growth of other engineers, drive adoption of best practices, and help shape the technical direction of critical projects.

What you'll do

What you'll need

• Advanced Degree plus 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in professional software development with proven technical leadership experience.
• Strong full-stack software engineering skills in Python, Javascript, Typescript, React, SQL and modern web frameworks.
• Hands-on experience integrating Generative AI/LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and AI service APIs.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, CI/CD, containers, observability, security, and production deployment.
• Experience working with project/portfolio management data, analytics, workflow automation, dashboards, and integrations with enterprise systems.
• Strong system design, problem-solving, code quality, testing, and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance practices.
• Experience with version control systems, including Git, and modern development tools.
• Knowledge of database technologies and data structures.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently and guide teams effectively.

Nice to have

• Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
