Staff Engineer - AI Technology

Overview

Staff Engineer – AI Technology (Data & Analytics) will design and implement a scalable AI Innovation Platform for teams across Syngenta.

What you'll do

• Lead the AI Innovation Platform design and architecture for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide architectural guidance.
• Define and promote AI-enabled software development best practices and architectural patterns.
• Evaluate and recommend new AI technologies for potential impact in the organization.
• Work with product and business stakeholders to ensure platform needs are met.
• Define implementation approaches, algorithms, and code structures, including interfaces for integrations.

What you'll need

• 10–12 years of experience in design and development.
• Strong object-oriented programming fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with design patterns, DDD, SDD, and microservices.
• Experience with serverless architectures and containerization/orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in AWS (preferred) plus working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines and automation using Jenkins/GitHub Actions/CircleCI.
• Knowledge of performance optimization, code quality frameworks, and RESTful/GraphQL API design.
