Staff Engineer - Enterprise Performance Testing, NeoLoad

Overview

Provide technical leadership for enterprise performance engineering across multiple products and platforms. Define performance strategies, improve observability, and guide teams in building scalable, reliable applications using NeoLoad and related tools.

What you'll do

• Define enterprise performance engineering strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Gather non-functional requirements, model workloads, plan capacity, and establish benchmarks.
• Design and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, and reliability tests.
• Analyze bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend optimizations.
• Use Splunk, AppDynamics, App Insights, and Dynatrace for monitoring and observability.
• Automate performance regression testing through Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in performance engineering, performance testing, or related disciplines.
• Strong expertise with NeoLoad and enterprise performance testing methodologies.
• Experience with end-to-end performance testing, including NFR analysis, workload modelling, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of system architectures, cloud environments, distributed systems, APIs, databases, and integrations.
• Strong experience with REST API performance testing, SQL queries, test datasets, and complex scenarios.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, Agile or SAFe, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and technical influence skills.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with Python, Shell, JavaScript, or Java.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with performance governance, reusable frameworks, or observability standards.
• Knowledge of SRE principles, resiliency engineering, and capacity planning.
