Staff Engineer, iOS

Overview

Own and evolve the iOS architecture and mobile-facing foundations for reliable, secure, polished native experiences across iPhone, iPad, and managed enterprise environments.

What you'll do

• Define iOS architecture, modular boundaries, and native engineering patterns.
• Design durable production architecture for complex product and platform problems.
• Improve iOS testing, automation, observability, rollout, and validation practices.
• Partner with Android, backend, product, and design on mobile-facing system contracts.
• Establish reusable standards and strengthen mobile engineering judgment across teams.

What you'll need

• Deep expertise in modern production iOS architecture.
• Experience setting technical standards for a platform, product area, or native mobile domain.
• Android fluency for cross-functional architecture decisions.
• Experience shaping mobile-facing API behavior or backend service boundaries.
• Ability to debug and contribute to backend systems when needed.
• Experience improving validation, product quality, and delivery confidence through AI-enabled engineering systems.
• Strong production mobile reliability, release-quality, product judgment, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience across Apple platforms such as iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, or CarPlay.
• Experience with enterprise mobile identity, device management, compliance, security, MDM, or MAM.
• Experience with mobile design-system foundations and design-to-code workflows.
