Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Lead high-impact, cross-functional software initiatives from concept through production while shaping technical strategy, platform architecture, and engineering best practices.

What you'll do

• Architect and build enterprise-grade APIs and platform-level web and mobile features.
• Launch complex integrations with critical data suppliers.
• Oversee productionization of complex data models, attributes, and scores.
• Define and evolve core platform architecture for scalability and multiple product use cases.
• Lead ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with end-to-end ownership.
• Establish engineering best practices and improve development, QA, and on-call processes.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical roadmaps and strategic direction.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience in high-growth or early-stage startups.
• Deep fluency in modern software technologies and architectural patterns.
• Ability to solve complex and ambiguous technical challenges.
• Strong collaboration and communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading complex initiatives and translating requirements into technical strategies.

• Remote role.
• Compensation is $212,500–$260,200 USD per year.
• Compensation is $190,000–$233,489 CAD per year.
