Staff Engineer, Software Test

Overview

Staff Engineer, Software Test to lead software verification and validation for regulated bioinformatics/NGS analytics software in clinical and research settings.

What you'll do

• Define scope and design automated and manual software tests.
• Write smoke and regression test scripts for product functionality and integrations.
• Drive test strategies for test APIs, user interfaces, web services, and/or web apps.
• Develop performance, load, and stress tests.
• Develop and implement software testing strategy, methods, and best practices.
• Lead and mentor a team of bioinformatics and software test engineers.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of work experience (Bachelors with minimum 10+ years; or Masters/PhD preferred).
• 8+ years performing software verification and validation testing, preferably in medical device/biotech.
• Strong coding skills and solid understanding of Quality Assurance principles and Continuous Integration methods.
• Experience managing software quality engineering and assurance team activities.
• Strong understanding of NGS-based regulated software and IVD assay development practices.
• Good understanding of design control for regulated products and knowledge of applicable regulations/standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, 21 CFR 820).
