Staff Engineer, Systems Software & Platform Engineering

Overview

Develop, integrate, debug, and optimize platform software for next-generation SoC platforms. The role covers system-level software, subsystem integration, performance optimization, customer issue resolution, and product readiness.

What you'll do

• Develop and integrate platform software across Linux, Android, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, firmware, middleware, and subsystem interfaces.
• Support platform bring-up, feature enablement, validation, and software readiness for new silicon programs.
• Investigate complex issues across hardware, firmware, kernel, middleware, and application layers.
• Optimize system behavior across power, performance, memory, thermal, reliability, and user experience dimensions.
• Drive customer issue investigations through root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Lead technical execution, feature delivery, defect closure, and milestone support.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture reviews, automation, and observability initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of software engineering or related work experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Experience with embedded systems, BSP, RTOS, Linux, Android, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, firmware, kernel, or platform software development.
• Experience with system-level debugging, performance analysis, and software integration.
• Understanding of modern SoC architectures and subsystem interactions.

Nice to have

• Experience with DSP, GPU, modem, connectivity, PMIC, power management, and AI accelerator subsystems.
• Experience with platform bring-up, subsystem integration, performance tuning, crash analysis, and reliability engineering.
• Familiarity with profiling, tracing, observability, and debugging tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Claude CLI, GitHub Copilot, and MCP agents.
