Staff Mobile Engineer (Engineer, Mobile - 5)

Overview

Staff Mobile Engineer on Tide's Search & Referrals team, owning the marketing website and referral programme, and working across multiple teams to design and build the mobile product experience.

What you'll do

• Design, create and run the product catalogue in one of Tide's Business areas, working across multiple teams.
• Take ownership of engineering practices and make technical decisions that affect multiple teams and shape Tide's Global One Platform.
• Define vision and strategy for how Tide builds products for its Business Areas.
• Act as a supportive, enthusiastic technical lead, advocating best practices and contributing to team wellbeing.
• Work with product owners, UI/UX designers, architects, engineers and business members to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions.
• Share knowledge with engineers, learn new things, and contribute to the Flutter Community of Practice and process improvements.

What you'll need

• Several years of experience as a Software Engineer working with Flutter, native mobile (iOS or Android), or React Native.
• Experience with popular Flutter libraries, tools and its lifecycle.
• Passion for automation tests and experience writing testable code.
• Experience building sleek, high-performance user interfaces and complex mobile apps that successfully shipped to customers.
• Experience technically leading mobile engineers within cross-platform teams, with the ability to develop and mentor less-experienced developers.
• Experience leveraging automation and tooling, focused on Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment.
