Staff Software Development Engineer

Overview

Lead the design, development, and operation of Trellix’s high-performance Cloud Threat Detection Platform, including high-throughput microservices, threat analysis pipelines, analyst interfaces, and secure AWS infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Lead platform architecture and engineering from concept through production.
• Build React and Django web applications and analyst dashboards.
• Architect asynchronous pipelines handling millions of API submissions daily.
• Design and manage secure AWS cloud environments and infrastructure.
• Implement API security, identity mechanisms, and multi-region data controls.
• Build telemetry pipelines for customer, product, and engine-level metrics.
• Own production incidents, root-cause analysis, design documentation, and reliability commitments.

What you'll need

• 11+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert AWS architecture experience across compute, networking, security, and storage.
• Strong Python development and debugging skills with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Linux proficiency and shell scripting experience.
• Experience with high-throughput microservices, REST, and asynchronous web APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threat detection, malware analysis pipelines, and security inspection tools.

Details

• Hybrid role with commuting to the Frisco, Texas office 3–4 days per week.
