Staff Software Engineer-Salesforce development

Overview

Staff Software Engineer for Salesforce development, joining Okta’s Technology Data and Intelligence (TDI) team to scale internal business solutions with a focus on security, reliability, scalability, and intelligent automation.

What you'll do

• Design and implement secure, scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, Salesforce Flow, and platform configuration.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs on the Salesforce platform.
• Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns.
• Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and other cloud-native services to extend Salesforce capabilities.
• Create intelligent automation solutions using Python and AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and Amazon Bedrock.
• Develop Salesforce features across multiple clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud Console, Experience Cloud) and own delivery from discovery to deployment.
• Create and run unit/integration/functional/automation tests, support deployments, and perform root-cause analysis.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, Process Automation tools, and Lightning Web Components.
• 7+ years of software development experience using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Salesforce products including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Communities.
• Strong Python experience for automation, integrations, and AI/ML workflows.
• Experience designing cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, Step Functions, or serverless architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI/LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Amazon Bedrock.
