Staff Systems Engineer

Overview

Staff Systems Engineer to join an R&D team in Hyderabad, supporting sustaining engineering, VAVE, and lifecycle management for KingFisher sample preparation systems and Detection instruments.

What you'll do

• Act as a technical lead for system or subsystem initiatives across hardware, software, firmware, and consumables.
• Contribute to system architecture, requirements definition, and interface specifications.
• Lead root cause investigations and structured problem solving for complex technical issues.
• Execute sustaining engineering workstreams, including issue resolution, design updates, and component obsolescence.
• Implement value analysis/value engineering (VAVE) cost reduction opportunities at system and subsystem levels.
• Support system integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with global R&D teams and interface with manufacturing, quality, service, and sourcing.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related); advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or related roles.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary systems (hardware, software, firmware, etc.).
• Strong skills in problem solving, root cause analysis, and technical execution.
• Experience working in cross-functional and global team environments.
