Overview
Staff Systems Engineer at Dexcom India, responsible for translating vision and UI/UX into detailed, testable requirements for medical devices and associated mobile apps.
What you'll do
- Translate product vision, user needs, and UI/UX designs into detailed technical requirements for medical devices and mobile applications.
- Create and maintain system and software requirements specifications (SRS) aligned to higher-level requirements and architecture.
- Use GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini) to generate, analyze, and manage systems engineering documentation and traceability artifacts.
- Lead requirements traceability and conduct reviews using Jama Connect to maintain completeness, clarity, and consistency.
- Develop system and subsystem test strategies, plans, and test cases with software, hardware, and test engineers.
- Generate and maintain verification and master trace matrices for end-to-end traceability from requirements to tests.
- Mentor other engineers on systems engineering principles and advanced tool usage.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of related experience (or 5+ years with an advanced degree) and a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Deep understanding of systems engineering principles, BLE architecture, Android and iOS mobile development, and medical device development.
- Expertise using GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini) for systems engineering documentation, traceability, and analysis.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and testable requirements aligned with IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
- Experience using requirement management tools (e.g., Jama Connect) and software development tools like Jira, TestRail, and GitHub.
Nice to have
- INCOSE CSEP certification.
- AI/ML concepts beyond documentation generation, including advanced prompt engineering techniques.
- Track record of leading complex systems engineering projects through commercialization.
