Overview
Staff Technical Enablement Consultant serving as the technical bridge between product architecture, instructional design, and field readiness, partnering across Professional Services, Technical Success Managers, and Customer Support to accelerate time-to-autonomy.
What you'll do
- Triage and prioritize enablement requests from cross-functional teams, translating field pain points and feature releases into a deliverable enablement backlog with clear learning outcomes
- Build and maintain high-fidelity lab sandbox topologies to replicate complex customer deployments and edge-case issues, troubleshooting hands-on with SMEs to validate root causes and workarounds
- Create and maintain canonical enablement assets, including self-paced student guides, topology diagrams, verification rubrics, scenario drills, and troubleshooting runbooks, to increase field autonomy at scale
- Produce authoritative, structured technical source collateral for AI-assisted content generation and perform strict quality assurance to ensure technical accuracy and prevent content drift
- Deliver targeted, high-impact enablement interventions such as topic bootcamps, weekly office hours, and ad-hoc architecture whiteboard deep dives focused on complex topics and new releases
What you'll need
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
- 5+ years of experience in system/network engineering, cloud architecture, or technical operations with hands-on experience replicating complex topologies in virtual sandbox/lab environments
- Experience designing and authoring technical enablement assets (labs, student guides, verification rubrics, troubleshooting runbooks/decision trees) that are clear, testable, and scalable
- Strong foundation in enterprise networking/security concepts and the ability to whiteboard and explain end-to-end flows (e.g., packet flow, policy processing order, hybrid connectivity, IdP/SCIM concepts)
- Demonstrated cross-functional partnering skills (PS, TSMs, Support, Enablement/LXD, Lab Infra/DevOps) and ability to intake/prioritize requests based on impact and urgency
- Strong communication and facilitation skills across modalities (written self-paced content + live clinics/office hours), with a bias toward improving field autonomy
Nice to have
- Experience building/operating lab infrastructure and automation (e.g., environment provisioning, tenant resets, repeatable lab reliability) in partnership with Lab Infra/DevOps
- Experience with AI-assisted curriculum workflows (creating "AI-ready" canonical source content, validating AI-generated learning modules, governance to prevent drift/hallucinations)
- Track record of keeping enablement content current in fast-release SaaS environments (e.g., bi-weekly/monthly releases), and/or relevant industry certifications/upskilling momentum
