Strategic Account Executive (SLED)

Overview

Own strategic sales across State, Local, and Education organizations, opening new accounts and expanding existing territories for a technology product.

What you'll do

• Prospect into large State, Local, and Education organizations.
• Build and maintain relationship maps for the assigned territory.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer businesses.
• Negotiate pricing and business terms using value and ROI.
• Expand reach and depth within existing customer accounts.
• Identify opportunity value drivers and customer validation steps.
• Maintain accurate and consistent forecasts.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of closing experience, including field selling within an assigned SLED region.
• 2–3+ years of SLED or government sales experience.
• Experience meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+.
• Experience with average deal sizes of $100K+.
• Ability to prospect and build pipeline independently.
• Experience selling to large SLED organizations and winning new logos.
• Ability to travel by auto, train, or air up to 70% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience at an innovative technology company, preferably SaaS or IT infrastructure.
