Strategic Account Executive

Overview

Drive new business and expand strategic enterprise accounts for Datadog’s observability and security solutions, focusing on large organizations operating in or migrating to cloud environments.

What you'll do

• Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies.
• Run an efficient sales process from prospecting through close.
• Build and manage relationship maps across assigned territories.
• Understand customers’ businesses and identify their business drivers.
• Negotiate pricing and business terms using value and ROI.
• Expand reach and depth within existing customer accounts.
• Maintain accurate and consistent sales forecasts.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of closing experience in mid-market and enterprise field sales.
• Experience meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+.
• Experience with average deal sizes of $100K+.
• Ability to prospect and build a pipeline independently.
• Experience selling to large Fortune 1000 companies.
• Ability to win new logos.

Nice to have

• Experience working at an innovative technology company.
• Experience in SaaS or IT infrastructure.

• Remote role in Texas, USA.
• Regular travel to client sites and other regions is required.
• Estimated yearly salary: $124,000–$165,000 USD.
