Overview

Lead the commodity strategy for assigned commodity “Cables” within Global Supply Chain, driving supplier negotiations and supplier management strategies.

What you'll do

• Establish strategic commodity vision and manage supplier strategy for global procurement goals.
• Evaluate and source suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and plan contract negotiations for materials/services.
• Ensure supplier capacity for Lam demand and manage supply continuity risk.
• Define and monitor supplier performance metrics aligned with AOP objectives and drive gap closures.
• Regularly evaluate cost/quality benchmarks and risks for the selected supply base.
• Coordinate supplier involvement in new product designs, including NPI onboarding and design change/qualification of alternates.
• Manage commodity spend through negotiation/mitigation of price increases and execute cost reduction strategies.

What you'll need

• At least 12 years of commodity management experience in engineering/manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial engineering or another engineering stream.
• Experience in commodity management with familiarity with semiconductor/electrical equipment manufacturing or high-technology supply management.
• Business and technical understanding of Cables and related components/assemblies and electro-mechanical parts.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functionally in new product introduction, manufacturing, quality/reliability, procurement, finance, and product support.
• PowerPoint and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolution.
