Strategic Finance & Analytics Intern (MBA)

Overview

Join Airbnb's Strategic Finance & Analytics team as a summer intern in the Finance organization, partnering with leaders on investment decisions, growth, and performance.

What you'll do

• Analyze complex business problems and issues using data to provide insight to decision-makers.
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns based on business data and market knowledge.
• Construct and present forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans to stakeholders and leaders.
• Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.

What you'll need

• First-year, full-time MBA student (expected graduation Spring 2028) at an accredited U.S. business school.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in areas such as financial planning & analysis, corporate development, management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or business operations.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to define and execute projects independently.
• Strong relationship-building skills with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leaders (e.g., the Chief Financial Officer or a VP of Finance).
• Robust quantitative skills and experience analyzing complex data to deliver actionable recommendations.
• Experience with SQL, financial modeling, data analysis and visualization (Tableau or similar tools).
• AI fluency and sound AI judgment: you know how to apply AI effectively to the work and projects in front of you, and when not to.
• Ability to manage your time and adapt to changing priorities.
• Interest in high-growth, technology, or hospitality companies.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience conducting industry research and due diligence.

Details

• Summer internship program from May 24, 2027 to August 13, 2027.
• Pay rate: $48 per hour (USD).
• US - Remote Eligible; may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsites, as agreed with your manager.
• Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
