Structural Engineer

Overview

Structural Engineer position supporting studies and the design of bridges and other road-related infrastructure. Work includes engineering calculations, design procedures, reviews, specifications, and cost/effort estimates, with telecommuting allowed from within the US.

What you'll do

• Provide specialized technical input for studies and design of bridges and road-related infrastructure.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Complete detailed/routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests.
• Develop, evaluate, and implement design procedures for cost-effective work.
• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates.
• Conduct quality-control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
• Prepare technical specifications and contribute to engineering budgets and schedules.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Bridge Design Engineer, Site Engineer, or in a related occupation.
