Overview
Supplier Process Control Engineer for Pratt & Whitney’s Production Readiness (Process Capability) value stream, acting as the Member Point Focal (MFP) within the NPI team.
What you'll do
- Coach suppliers on APQP/PPAP elements.
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance with dedicated PW quality systems and supply base requirements.
- Coach and mentor suppliers through process control and continuous improvement.
- Maintain key relationships with procurement, engineering, value stream managers, and supplier development teams.
- Support Vendor Corrective Action Board (VCAB) reviews.
- Drive product and process improvements to meet supply base quality metric goals for process certification and supplier maturity.
- Use CORE tools to implement change, eliminate process escapes, and reduce cost and lead times.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 8 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- 3–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace production/manufacturing shop floor (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Knowledge of AS13100 Chapter B.
- Proficiency in APQP quality tools including PFMEA, control plans, DFMEA, FAI, GR&R, and GD&T elements.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and experience coaching process improvement/process control.
