Customer Quality Engineer

Overview

Customer Quality Engineer to support injection mold production efficiency through process design, development, and direct production support for the Automotive and Industry teams in Grandview.

What you'll do

• Ensure injection mold production efficiency via process design and development.
• Provide customer-representative support for product issues, deliveries, and customer requests.
• Lead customer issue resolution to closure using problem-solving tools and required documents.
• Maintain daily customer quality and cost data (PPM and other targets).
• Fulfill new parts submission requirements (PPAP) and provide on-site problem resolution at customer locations.
• Coordinate quarantine and containment actions at customer locations and the Grandview plant.
• Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) for launches and process/product changes.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• 5 years of experience in quality assurance or related experience.
• Working knowledge of quality principles, audit protocols, and inspection procedures.
• Knowledge of PPAP with automotive experience preferred.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools/processes for cross-functional supplier issue resolution.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and follow-up skills.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and computer literacy.
