Overview

Sustaining Software Engineer (Android) to design, develop, and maintain Android applications for Verifone payment solutions and support production issues.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain on-device and off-device Android applications for Verifone payment.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and demos showcasing product offerings, integrations, and workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and support teams.
• Drive performance optimization, debugging/testing tools, and release readiness initiatives.
• Debug, analyze, and resolve customer-reported issues and support production defects.
• Participate in test automation, CI/CD improvements, and technical documentation efforts.

What you'll need

• Strong experience developing Android applications.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Solid understanding of Android architecture, lifecycle management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, backend integration, and asynchronous/event-driven communication.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• 6+ years of experience in Android or embedded/mobile software development.
