System Engineer – (Silent Sentinel)

Overview

The System Engineer drives the technical vision for Silent Sentinel deployments, architecting end-to-end solutions that integrate complex surveillance systems with customer networks.

What you'll do

• Design, evaluate, and deploy mission-critical video surveillance and network systems tailored to customer and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, document, and articulate video surveillance system architectures, ensuring compatibility with network capacity, scope of work (SOW), and customer specifications.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to internal and external stakeholders, communicating key technological capabilities and value propositions.
• Conduct product testing, lead technical demonstrations, and implement system modifications following strict change control procedures.
• Partner closely with project management, subcontractors, and Motorola Technical Support to drive post-sales execution and meet project milestones.
• Proactively identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and strictly adhere to company standards, policies, and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

What you'll need

• High School diploma, Bachelor's Degree OR 3+ years of experience in one of the following: Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, IT, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems.
• Must have 3+ years of experience working in a Field Service environment.
• Must have experience designing, evaluating, and implementing complex system architectures and video surveillance networks.
• Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written as required for this position.

Details

• Travel between 50% to 75% as required, including to customer locations, subcontractor offices, and project sites for walks, surveying, design, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's CJIS Security Policy, requiring a fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
• Passing necessary background checks required for customer site access.
• Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
