Systems Engineer 2

Overview

Systems Engineer 2 role on Dexcom’s Systems Engineering team in India, supporting medical device development through requirements, documentation, and testing activities.

What you'll do

• Develop, document, and maintain Product Needs and System/Software Requirements with traceability.
• Use GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini) to generate drafts of system engineering documentation and refine requirements.
• Support system integration testing for software and hardware sub-systems, including issue troubleshooting.
• Create test plans and test cases and help generate verification traceability matrices.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and QA teams to deliver project outcomes.
• Communicate with the Systems Engineering team and contribute adjustments during discussions.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or an advanced degree without experience.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering principles across hardware and software design (preferably New Product Development).
• Skills using GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini) to generate/refine documentation and maintain traceability.
• Strong verbal and written communication to convey technical information to technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Jama Connect).
• Familiarity with software development tools like Jira.

Nice to have

• Medical device industry experience and familiarity with IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
• Systems Engineering prior training and INCOSE certifications (e.g., ASEP).
• Experience with mobile application development (Android/iOS) or BLE architecture.
