Tax Associate, Real Property Tax

Overview

The Tax Associate verifies tax bills, administers payments, processes refunds, tracks and logs assessment notices, and prepares Property Tax Returns, with reconciliation, quality control and review of own and peers' work.

What you'll do

• Verify tax bills and handle payment administration.
• Process refunds and track and log assessment notices.
• Prepare Property Tax Returns.
• Perform reconciliation and quality control methods, and review your own work and that of peers.
• Provide proactive work status updates to the US / India liaison.
• Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
• Handle calls to Tax Jurisdictions and offshore/onshore staff.
• Complete tasks assigned by Management with a sense of urgency and confidentiality where needed.
• Create a positive team experience.

What you'll need

• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or Business.
• 0-1 years of experience in US Taxation.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
