Team Developer

Overview

Team Developer in the Global Markets Operations Asset Services processing team, responsible for processing dividend, coupon interest and corporate action events for House and Prime Brokerage clients.

What you'll do

• Process House and IPB income and corporate action events daily in an accurate, timely and consistent manner, in line with departmental procedures and agreed service levels.
• Resolve processing issues and liaise with Settlements, Trading Desk Support, Client Service Representatives, Finance and Middle Office, Technology, Product Data Support, Client Onboarding Services and global Asset Services departments.
• Communicate and interact daily with internal counterparties, external custodians/agent banks and external clients.
• Reconcile control, suspense and bank accounts daily and resolve reconciling items.
• Maintain customer service levels by resolving queries from Prime Brokerage clients and the Middle Office product controller promptly.
• Allocate client money daily.
• Comply with all relevant regulatory and BofAML control standards and policy requirements.
• Identify changes to processes and procedures that improve control, efficiency, reduce risk and/or improve client services.
• Participate in user acceptance testing for new business projects.
• Act as first point of escalation for Client Service Representatives, onshore management and offshore management.
• Review common workbasket and workflow management, and ensure timely resolution of queries and clarifications.
• Review errors to identify process and training issues and address them; review reports and metrics spreadsheets to identify gaps.
• Review escalations and expedites for due diligence by teammates and process escalations per documented process through to closure.
• Train associates on processes and procedures and provide ongoing support.
• Work process and procedure gaps with the Oversight team to closure.
• Monitor the team group mailbox and respond to emails within 24 hours.
• Ensure all notifications and votes are processed timely and accurately, and that process SLAs are met for each activity type.
• Liaise with internal and external contacts to resolve discrepancies.
• Refer exceptions to the Team Lead before deadlines and identify process improvement areas to the TL/AM.

What you'll need

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, Management or an equivalent degree in Finance, or postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, Management or Finance / MBA Finance.
• 4-5 years' experience in Asset Services (Corporate Actions) or 4-5 years of experience in an international bank in dividend/corporate actions for Prime Brokerage clients.
• Knowledge of dividend/coupon interest and corporate actions.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma tools.
• Excellent knowledge of financial and capital markets (equity and debt).
• Working knowledge of general accounting (journal entries, debits/credits and treatment in books).
• Strong work management skills and experience as SME in Corporate Actions.
• Sense of urgency for meeting Service Level Agreements; fair analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and tools.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient English (speaking, writing and comprehension).
• Time and organizational management skills.

Nice to have

• NCFM or similar certifications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced MS Office and Excel skills.
• Six Sigma certification.

• Location: Hyderabad (ATS location line: Gurugram, Haryana).
• Work timings: 07:30 IST to 16:30 IST.
