Overview

Tech Lead Data Engineer – Redshift provides technical leadership for an enterprise data platform supporting analytics, machine learning, AI, and business decision-making.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the big data platform for ingestion, enrichment, and analytics pipelines.
• Design, build, implement, document, and automate real-time and batch data pipelines.
• Assemble large, complex datasets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Implement internal process improvements for scalability, optimized data delivery, and automation.
• Build AWS and SQL-based infrastructure for extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Process and ingest high volumes of data and transactions across scalable big data and data lake solutions.
• Build analytical tools to deliver insights on key business performance metrics.

What you'll need

• Have 8–10 years of relevant work-related experience.
• Expert-level experience building and optimizing big data pipelines and architectures.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify process and data improvement opportunities.
• Excellent analytics skills for working with unstructured datasets.
• Experience building processes for data transformation, workload management, and metadata/dependencies.
• Hands-on skills with Amazon Redshift concepts including distribution keys, sort keys, encoding, WLM, and concurrency scaling.

Nice to have

• AI-assisted development, AWS Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Amazon S3, and Step Functions.
• AWS Lakehouse, Databricks, and AWS certifications.
