Overview
Design, develop, and oversee robust, scalable, and secure enterprise integration solutions. Shape integration strategy, enable seamless data exchange, and improve business process efficiency using middleware, RESTful APIs, and Camunda BPM.
What you'll do
- Define and evolve enterprise integration strategy, patterns, and standards.
- Design end-to-end integration solutions connecting diverse systems, applications, and data sources on-premise and in the cloud.
- Create technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and documentation for integration solutions.
- Select, implement, and manage Enterprise Service Buses, message queues, and API Gateways.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of integration middleware components.
- Lead the design and development of secure, scalable RESTful APIs following industry best practices.
- Define API standards, governance, and lifecycle management, including versioning, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, and testing.
- Implement API security mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, and API Keys.
- Architect, design, and implement complex business processes and workflows using Camunda BPM, BPMN, and DMN.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into automated workflows.
- Develop and manage process models, user tasks, and integrations with external systems within the Camunda ecosystem.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams on integration best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural principles and quality standards.
- Work with product managers, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver integration solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure integration solutions are designed for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with integration architecture.
- Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.
- Optimize existing integration processes and technologies.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software development.
- At least 5+ years specifically in an Integration Architect or similar senior role.
- Extensive experience with Enterprise Service Buses and Message Queues such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and ActiveMQ.
- Proficiency with API Gateway solutions such as Apigee, Mulesoft, Azure API Management, and AWS API Gateway.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns such as publish-subscribe, request-response, choreography, and orchestration.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and managing RESTful APIs.
- Deep understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
- Experience with API documentation tools such as OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Mandatory: strong hands-on experience with Camunda BPM, BPMN, and DMN for workflow automation and process orchestration.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language relevant to integration development, such as Java, C#, Python, or Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with integration services on major cloud platforms such as Azure Integration Services, AWS Integration, or Google Cloud Integration.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI for automated deployment of integration components.
- Expertise in data formats such as JSON, XML, and Avro.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology; or a master's degree in Information Systems or Software Engineering.
- Proficient English language proficiency at C2 level.
Nice to have
- Experience with Camunda Platform 7 and/or 8 is highly desirable.
- Understanding of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
