Technical Facility Executive

Overview

Technical Executive role responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of critical building systems across assigned facilities, including MEP and HVAC systems.

What you'll do

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation systems.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with technical vendors and service contractors to ensure optimal system performance and minimize equipment failures.
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment, identifying potential issues and implementing timely solutions before they escalate.
• Respond to technical breakdowns and emergency situations, troubleshooting problems and coordinating rapid resolution to restore normal operations.
• Monitor energy consumption patterns and building system performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including electrical safety, fire safety, lift maintenance, and environmental standards through proper documentation and audits.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and asset registers while tracking maintenance budgets and vendor invoices.

What you'll need

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical facility management, building maintenance, or MEP operations.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing infrastructure, and building automation systems.
• Understanding of statutory compliance requirements including electrical safety regulations, fire safety codes, and lift maintenance standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance specifications.
• Proven vendor management skills with experience coordinating technical service providers and contractors.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or facility management.
• Diploma/ Graduate in Technical Education.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy management platforms.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency practices, sustainability initiatives, and green building operations.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Maximo, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Background working in commercial office buildings, data centers, healthcare facilities, or industrial properties.
• Basic project management skills with experience supporting capital improvement or retrofit projects.
