Technical Product Manager

Overview

Own a technical product vertical for BJAK’s neobank superapp in Southeast Asia, covering strategy, outcomes, roadmap, technical design, and delivery. The role focuses on regulated, high-consequence financial products where correctness, reliability, compliance, and trusted AI use are essential.

What you'll do

• Own a product vertical end to end, including outcomes, metrics, backlog, and acceptance criteria.
• Shape system design with engineering across boundaries, ledgers, reconciliation, APIs, failure handling, security, and scalability.
• Balance correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and user experience in product decisions.
• Incorporate licensing, KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, privacy, and data residency into product planning.
• Define appropriate AI decision boundaries, evaluation methods, human oversight, and uncertainty handling.
• Ship features behind flags and coordinate launches around partner and regulatory gates.
• Work across engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance teams.

What you'll need

• Significant experience owning a complex technical product end to end.
• Strong judgement and decisiveness under ambiguity.
• Solid system-design knowledge covering data stores, workflows, APIs, failure modes, and consistency.
• Experience in a regulated or high-consequence domain such as payments, banking, remittance, or insurance.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based products and evaluable AI features.
• Strong English communication skills.

• Engineering or highly technical product management background.
• Zero-to-one product experience.
• Experience shipping AI-heavy consumer products.
• Experience defining evaluation metrics for ML or LLM systems.
• Southeast Asia market experience.
