Overview
Technical Sales Support Engineer for Trimble Applanix, supporting international marine clients with high-precision positioning technologies.
What you'll do
- Deliver technical support and advice to international clients in office, digital, and field settings.
- Perform hands-on field operations such as new system installations, development testing, and live product demonstrations.
- Support inside sales activities.
- Create and deliver training courses for resellers and OEMs.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams using market feedback to refine marine hardware and software.
- Assist with dispatch, shipment logs, and cross-functional needs.
- Provide seamless follow-the-sun support as part of a global support rotation.
What you'll need
- Degree in Geomatics, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hydrographic surveying background with practical experience using survey software packages (Qimera / Hypack / EIVA / CARIS).
- Practical experience with multibeam sonar systems.
- Knowledge of geodetic GNSS applications.
- IHO CAT A Accreditation.
- Adaptability and communication skills to resolve complex technical challenges independently.
Nice to have
- Practical skills in electronic troubleshooting, hardware repair, and system testing.
- Experience supporting marine positioning and orientation hardware or office software.
Details
- Logistics location: UK (Remote).
- Travel expected to be approximately 30%.
